Last night I finished my shawl, then delayed going to bed just so I could block it! Excited, me? Never! I added an edge to the original design which I made up as I went along. I also changed the K3tog into a slip to as if to k2tog, K1, pass slipped stiches over in order to make a centered decrease.

I think this little alteration worked well. Now I can’t wait to use my new shawl! It’s even long enough that I can put it round my shoulders, tie it behind my back and wear it as a sort of shrug which is what I wanted all along and 90%of the reason behind adding the border.

Oh and the un-employment bit just refers to the fact that I made it while relaxing at home before my new job starts…tomorrow…fingers crossed it goes well!
